Solar system options

On-grid, hybrid or battery.

All three put your roof to work. They differ in one big way: what happens when the grid goes down.

Which one is for me?

  1. If outages are rare where you live and you mainly want a lower billOn-grid
  2. If you get regular power cuts but still want net-metering savingsHybrid
  3. If there is no reliable grid, or a few essential loads must never stopSolar + battery

Most homes are not a clean fit. The right system starts with the right assessment, so we look at your roof, your bills and how often the power goes before recommending anything.

01 Solar + grid

On-grid

The simplest way to cut your bill. Panels feed your home and send the surplus to the grid.

  • Reduce electricity bills
  • Export excess to the grid
  • No power during a grid outage

Good for: Homes where outages are rare and the goal is the lowest bill.

02 Solar + battery + grid

Hybrid

Everything on-grid does, plus a battery that takes over when the grid goes down.

  • Solar plus battery storage
  • Use stored power at night
  • Backup during outages
  • More flexibility

Good for: Homes with regular power cuts that still want net-metering savings.

03 Off-grid or backup

Solar + battery

Solar charges a battery that runs chosen loads on its own, with or without a grid connection.

  • Stores solar energy
  • Independent power
  • Sized for specific backup needs

Good for: Sites with no reliable grid, or essential loads that must never stop.
